Safety and strength
Uses 10 mm toughened glass with extreme impact resistance. If it does break, it shatters into small, blunt fragments, minimising the risk.
Ordinary or thin glass is brittle and endangers the people nearby if it breaks.
Sliding performance
Precision bearings with a double PTFE coating give the panels a smooth, near-silent movement regardless of their weight.
Heavy, noisy running with mechanisms that wear out quickly and need frequent replacement.
Sealing and accessibility
A minimalist bottom threshold, safe for children and older people, together with intermediate caps that form an effective barrier against water ingress.
